Looking ahead
Last week a few athletes joined us for a training session at the track in Kutama Sinthumule. We are busy preparing some of the Limpopo Province’s para-athletes for the TOYOTA SASAPD National Championships coming up at the end of March. This means train, train and train some more.
I took the featured image of Sheryl after she’d spent the morning coaching and chasing athletes up and down the track before completing her own set of drills and torture. I loved the way she was looking out towards the horizon. Maybe she was just exhausted? But she looked deep in thought. I think she was.
Promising hope
The track provides a panoramic view of the Soutpansberg Mountain range. The place we are blessed to call home. Yes, there could be mountains to climb, misty valleys to navigate, and surprises around some corners. But the landscape stretches into the distance, promising hope. We look ahead with anticipation, excited at the prospect of new opportunities on and off the track.
Unbridling – Our book launch
Speaking of looking ahead and new things … We were super blessed by the response to our first local book launch on 6 February. Follow the link to read more about our newly released book, Unbridling. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/17HXN8nDre/
Our next book signing
We have a book signing at The Village Bookshop in Plettenberg Bay on 20 February . And we are looking forward to attending the Franschoek Book Festival in May.
And …
On the athletics front, Sheryl and Masala will attend a GAPS Commonwealth Games training programme in Stellenbosch, just before the Nationals. Who knows what will happen next?
I am following your incredible story and celebrating with you all the way! Love always, Gail x
Thanks so much Gail
