Breaking news: Our new JK-flat is up and running in Louis Trichardt, a small town in the far north of South Africa ( Limpopo Province: Vhembe District). Providing accommodation for three physically disabled children who were previously enrolled in a Special School, the JK-flat is part of our drive to make inclusive education possible to children in rural areas.
Pictured from left to right are Vhutu Nemutandani, Ndieni Netshavhambe and Wamanda Mathisa – Jumping Kids beneficiaries in the new JK-flat. As of January 2024, they have seamlessly settled into mainstream schooling and are loving it.
There is often no reason why a child with a physical disability cannot have access to quality mainstream education. Inclusive education is at the heart of what Jumping Kids and Isability do. Keep your eyes peeled for more posts on inclusive education in the future.
